While many people count down till the start of the New Year, for LEGO builders the 12 bongs of Big Ben's chimes mean only one thing: the release of January 1st 2026's new LEGO sets!
Every year, January 1st brings a bumper crop of brand new LEGO sets to shop online and in-store, and this time around is no exception.
For our first feature on new LEGO sets for January 2026, we've picked out 12 that caught our eye across some of the most popular LEGO themes, to celebrate the world's most famous clock striking midnight this New Year's Eve.

LEGO Art 31218 Japanese Cherry Blossom Landscape is the first on our list of new LEGO sets on January 1st 2026 and we know it will be a favourite with builders who love Japanese history, heritage and culture.
This build consists of a 3D art frame containing Mount Fuji, three species of native Japanese trees, a pair of flying cranes, a waterside tea room, plenty of pretty pink cherry blossoms, and a small waterfall that cascades over the bottom of the frame.
A wall-mounted display case for LEGO 31218 is coming soon, so you can hang your completed set gallery-style. Set up a notification and be the first to know when it's ready.

If (like us) you loved the autumn colours on LEGO Architecture Neuschwanstein Castle (21063) then you're going to fall in love with this 2026 New Year LEGO set too.
LEGO Icons 11372 Autumn Cottage Garden is the latest addition to the LEGO Gardens of the World collection and features Fall-themed trees including weeping willow, maple, birch and blue spruce.
There's so much detail in this build - a small cottage, a garden stream with stepping stones, garden ornaments such as a gnome, sundial and birdhouse, plus wildlife elements of a frog, snail, squirrel, robin and nuthatch.

Age: 18+

The last in our trio of floral displays is LEGO Botanicals 11504 Peace Lily, a delicate-looking addition to LEGO The Botanical Collection.
It's a deceivingly detailed build with almost 500 pieces, which assemble to create six lilies in three stages of life: furled buds, partially opened flowers and full blooms.
You can also have a lot of fun spotting some of the elements that have been repurposed into parts of the flower, including popcorn and carrot pieces!

LEGO Spring Festival sets celebrate what is commonly called Chinese New Year. In 2026, the celebration lasts from February 17th until March 3rd, but you can start to get your hands on the new LEGO Spring Festival sets from January 1st.
LEGO 80118 Fortune Firecracker makes an impressive display piece at nearly 50cm in height, but it's also designed for play. There are six LEGO Minifigures included and two scenes of celebration to build.
One of these is hidden inside the firecracker model and can be revealed at the touch of a button, while the second scene can be played with separately - and the two scenes can be swapped easily to freshen up your LEGO wall display.

This striking set celebrates the beginning of the Year of the Horse, with a printed canvas backdrop and a brick-built 3D model of galloping horses.
We love the overall aesthetic of LEGO 80119 Galloping Horses Canvas, which will make an amazing LEGO table display thanks to its extra depth.
You also get a mini celebration scene with two LEGO Minifigures painting a scaled-down canvas, which is a great way to get younger builders involved in construction and/or play.

A quirky build with lots of character (and a lot of value for money, too). Obviously, we love the big statement display models, but there's a lot to be said for LEGO sets under $25 too.
LEGO 40864 Fortune Master falls into that category, with a character supposed to bring good fortune in the new year.
There's a secret compartment in this build, where you can store the character's spare eyes - allowing you to change his facial expression to customise your LEGO display!

The armour-like appearance of LEGO Marvel 76344 Iron Man Mark 3 Collectors' Edition is really impressive, with a very authentic colour scheme given to the smooth plating too.
At 38cm tall, this is going to be a stunning addition to any LEGO bookshelf display, especially if you have other LEGO Marvel models to showcase alongside it.
A display case for the collectors' edition LEGO 76344 Iron Man Mark 3 is coming soon. Visit the page now to set up a notification or add this case to your Wishlist, and we'll let you know as soon as it's available.

A very different aesthetic awaits when you complete LEGO Marvel 76342 Spider-Man vs. Mysterio: The Daily Bugle.
This is a fun build for ages 10+ and creates a four-storey Daily Bugle headquarters with the rooftop as a fifth usable level, plus a fire escape down the side of the building.
You get seven LEGO Minifigures plus a mech, and three transparent posing sticks to give the illusion of characters hovering in mid-air.
As a LEGO Modular Buildings set, you can combine multiple models into a larger street scene, including LEGO Marvel Spider-Man vs. Oscorp (76324) to add to the action!

We think this is going to be one of the most popular new LEGO sets of January 2026. Its size makes it a perfect LEGO bookcase display set and again, it joins the ranks of great LEGO sets under £25.
The Time Machine itself is a replica of the modified DeLorean DMC-12 from the Back to the Future trilogy of movies - including a 'lightning hook' from the first film, plus angled 'flying mode' wheels and a Mr Fusion unit from the sequel.
It's probably worth getting LEGO 77256 Time Machine from Back to the Future just for the Doc Brown and Marty McFly LEGO Minifigures that come with it, which can be seated inside the car for imaginative play and display purposes.

Price: $74.99
Age: 18+
Pieces: 793
Size: 7 x 29 x 12 cm (H x L x W)

The 18+ age on this one is a sign that it is intended as a LEGO display set - and while it definitely has the looks for that, there's also a lot of interactivity. A knob on top of the car turns the steering, the doors open, you can open the engine compartment, and there's even a working lever inside the vehicle to pop the hood.
It's the kind of build that's fun to fiddle with, no matter how old you are, and we think the black and gold livery on LEGO Technic 42223 1966 Ford GT40 MKII Race Car will appeal to a lot of builders too.

Price: $99.99

Those of us who are old enough to remember when LEGO NINJAGO launched might want to gloss over the 15-year anniversary that this set celebrates. However, you can't deny the nostalgia of 71858 Four Weapons Blacksmith 15th Anniversary, which recreates the first-ever location seen in the TV series' pilot episode.
With this set, you get a faithful reconstruction of the Four Weapons Blacksmith, with a front that opens to reveal a bedroom and blacksmith's forge, plus six LEGO Minifigures to play with.
