Chewie, we're home: The Fanhome Star Wars Millennium Falcon

Turn everyone's favourite 'hunk of junk' into a thing of beauty when you put your Fanhome Star Wars Millennium Falcon in its very own purpose-built acrylic display case.

Previously known as Eaglemoss, the Fanhome Millennium Falcon is an official movie-accurate scale replica of the iconic Star Wars spaceship as it appeared in The Empire Strikes Back.

All of the exterior details are there, as you follow the step-by-step instructions to assemble "the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy".

A stunning scale model

This Millennium Falcon display model is a direct replica of the miniature used during filming of The Empire Strikes Back, the second movie in the original Star Wars trilogy. It's even built to the same scale, measuring over 80cm long, nearly 60cm wide and just under 20cm tall.

With sturdy metal and ABS parts, plus integrated light-up elements in the cockpit and thrusters, the finished build weighs around 11kg.

To power those lights, you'll need to add a 9V mains adapter, or six AA batteries if you want to display your Millennium Falcon without access to a wall socket.

Finishing touches

The build process on the Fanhome Millennium Falcon is designed to suit both beginners and experienced modellers, and the only tool you should need is the supplied screwdriver. Exterior hull sections are pre-finished, so if you're not confident about painting and texturing models, you don't need to do anything other than put it together.

However, if you're more familiar with the finer points of highlights and shading, there's plenty of scope to apply a few extra battle scars by hand and really ramp up the realism in your Fanhome Millennium Falcon display.
