The LEGO Porsche GT4 e-Performance Race Car (42176) launched on August 1, 2024, making it the eleventh LEGO remote-controlled vehicle to be released and the alleged fastest LEGO remote-controlled vehicle to date.

The LEGO 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance Race Car and its ten predecessors can be controlled using the LEGO Technic Control+ App. This free app is available for both Apple and Android users.

The Control+ App operates the steering, front and rear lights, and any movable appendages that the vehicle may have, such as an arm, bucket, etc. Alternative control systems are offered so that you can find the one that best suits your driving style. A one-touch system is available, which enables you to drag on the screen in one direction and then watch your vehicle execute the move.

A lot of the LEGO vehicles feature authentic sound effects that can be activated via the Control+ App too. To spice up your driving experience, the Control+ App has a selection of challenges that can be completed, and these will then unlock badges for your accomplishments. In addition to the challenges, there are also videos available to inspire your LEGO remote-controlled driving path. Real-time feedback, including speed and tilt logs, will help you to hone your driving skills.

The majority of these remote-controlled LEGO vehicles (10 out of 11) require batteries to power them, generally between six and twelve AAs. However, the latest release, LEGO 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance Race Car utilises a rechargeable battery that requires a USB-C cable (cable is not included) to charge it.
