Following the results of the first LEGO Group IDEAS 2022 review, four fan submissions have been approved for production and future release. With 39 entries competing, this represents the most ever selected in a single round.
All four sets are very different, representing a fun new range to mull over. Let's take a closer look at what's on offer"¦

This set was designed by LEGO Youtube fanatic 'hachiroku24', capturing the unique shapes and colours of five insects from geographical locations around the world. We really like the creative ways pieces were used, especially to create the butterfly wings and the yellow and black effect on the wasp.
LEGO said of the submission, "He has captured the colours, shapes and overall details so well that it's hard to tell they are brick-built! We think they will be a great way to bring a piece of nature into your home without bugging you!".

This one made our resident Agatha Christie fanatic sit up in their chair! The legendary train is unrivalled in elegance, history and luxury. Now, LEGO lovers will be able to construct it in brick-built form.
Speaking of the set 10k Club Member 'LEt.sGO' envisioned, LEGO said, "Thomas has poured a lot of love into capturing the details from the locomotive and coal car to the restaurant car to make sure this is the perfect tribute to such a legendary train. It's a special privilege to bring this creation to life in LEGO bricks!"

Every now and then, a LEGO set comes along that seems to appeal to non-LEGO collectors. We think this might be one of them "“ a set that fans of space travel would gladly display on their wall, desk or bookshelf even if they never brought another.
LEGO commented on the set created by 'john_carter', saying, "He's managed to create stunning poster-style sci-fi scenes filled with action and serenity, showing you don't need a lot of bricks or loads of details to create awe-inspiring LEGO models."

This creative project is one for photography fanatics everywhere, recreating the iconic Polaroid OneStep SX-70 camera, first sold in 1972. Similar to the last set, we can see this appealing as a gift to photographers, even if they have never touched LEGO.
Discussing the idea from 'Minibrick Productions', LEGO said, "Using his mechanical engineering background, Marc not only made this creation look flawless but also added hidden functionality that mimics the development of film as it slides out of the camera. We can't wait to see the memories created with this Polaroid camera."
