It wouldn't be Spooky Season without some haunted Halloween LEGO sets to build, and over the years, we've been given plenty to get our fanged teeth into.
From monstrous and supernatural themes to LEGO haunted houses and decorative LEGO Halloween displays, here's our rundown of how LEGO brings Halloween to life.
There have been a few LEGO Halloween themes in recent years, and it's a shame that they're usually quite short-lived. Yet the impact they leave behind lasts far longer.
LEGO Monster Fighters and LEGO Hidden Side have both been retired already, but they deserve a mention on this list as they both offered some of the best Halloween LEGO sets.

First Release: 2012
Sets: 9 (+4 Polybags)
Monster Fighters Characters: 5
Unique Minifigures: 12
This brief but iconic spooky LEGO theme was inspired by the monsters from classic movies and books, with characters including vampires, werewolves, mummies and other nasties.

Some of the sets were quite small (e.g. the first release, The Swamp Creature (9461), only had 70 pieces,) but there were some good details in there and a surprising number of unique LEGO Minifigures and original Monster Fighters characters.
Full list of LEGO Monster Fighters sets:
To this day, many of the LEGO Monster Fighters Minifigures have never been made available in any other sets, making them a valuable addition to other LEGO haunted house displays.

We also have to give a special mention to the spooky aesthetic of LEGO Monster Fighters sets like Ghost Train (9467), which has a black-and-bones build along with plenty of glow-in-the-dark elements, making it a fantastic LEGO bedroom display for day or night!

First Release: 2019-20
Sets: 32
Total Minifigures: 76
LEGO Hidden Side was a few years ahead of its time, as it featured a team of ghost hunters, a genre that has absolutely exploded online in the past five years. The sets were also incredibly creative, featuring ghost laboratories, shipwrecks and mysterious graveyards, but also vehicles, juice bars and hotdog stands.
A free LEGO Hidden Side app brought augmented reality to the mix, with challenges and puzzles to solve alongside each set.
With 32 sets in total, LEGO Hidden Side burned brightly considering it lasted just two years, and some of the theme's builds still rank highly among the best LEGO Halloween sets.

Release Date: January 1st 2020 (Retired Product)
Age: 7+
Pieces: 189
Minifigures: 4
Size: 17 x 22 x 13cm (H x W x D)
LEGO Welcome to the Hidden Side (70427) is a great example of the quirky personality of this theme, with a haunted tree that stands over the entrance to the fictional Newbury Park subway stop.

It's a quick and easy build with less than 200 pieces, and less moving parts than some other sets in the theme, but if you're building a LEGO Hidden Side display, it makes a great centrepiece as the entry to your diorama.
A haunted house is another excellent focal point for your LEGO Halloween display, and there have been several mysterious mansions released in the past.
Here are three examples of LEGO haunted houses, including 2025's LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Haunted Mansion (31167), which is still available.

Release Date: June 1st 2020 (Retired Product)
Age: 18+
Pieces: 3,231
Minifigures: 10
Size: 68 x 25 x 25cm (H x W x D)
This impressive build had a host of interactive features that could be activated by adding a LEGO Powered Up kit and installing the smartphone app, giving you hands-free control while your Haunted House was on display.

With the app, you could control the lights and move the Madman's Lift, which could also be hand-cranked to send your helpless LEGO Minifigures plummeting from the top of the tower.
It's a shame this set was retired in 2023, as it's a real eye-catcher. We can imagine knocking on the grand front door of Manor von Barron and asking: "Brick or treat?"
We love this set so much we created two custom-built display cases for LEGO 10273 - one with the build's exterior closed, and one to fit the opened-out interiors. We wanted to give you every option to showcase your LEGO Halloween collection in style!

Release Date: August 1st 2022 (Retired Product)
Age: 12+
Pieces: 680
Minifigures: 1 (Butler)
Size: 14 x 12 x 12cm (H x W x D)
Small but sweet, LEGO Disney Haunted Mansion (40521) recreated the facade of the Haunted Mansion ride along with a sneaky look at some of the interiors.

View the build from the back and you're treated to a glimpse of the dining room and gallery, with a chandelier and paintings of the Gravekeeper, Madame Leota and the Hitchhiking Ghosts.
The compact dimensions make this set an excellent addition to a LEGO Halloween diorama as the haunted mansion on the hill - or you can showcase it in our custom-made display case for LEGO 40521, complete with printed vinyl background.

Not all LEGO haunted houses have been discontinued! LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Haunted Mansion (31167) launched this summer and is an excellent addition to any spooky scene.
It's a two-storey haunted house with boarded-up windows, a menacing tree, its own mini graveyard and a chained front gate, plus five iconic LEGO Minifigures:

As a 3-in-1 set, you can dismantle the finished build and reassemble it as a haunted train with platform, or a ghostly galleon that stalks the seven seas. That's a lot of mileage from a single set!
Once again, iDisplayit has a custom-made display case for the LEGO Haunted Mansion, the essential collector's finishing touch to show off your build at its best.
Last but not least, there are some really cool smaller sets in LEGO's Halloween line-up. We've picked two of our favourites to spotlight here.

This Halloween LEGO wall display is a colourful wreath covered with brick-built cobwebs and characters including a bat, ghost and jack-o-lantern.
It's highly rated, with customer reviews calling it "this season's must-have Halloween LEGO build" and adding that the hardest part is taking it down to pack away for next year.
We say, why take it down? It's a great candidate for an all-year-round LEGO wall display and its circular shape is just begging to have a clock mechanism added to the centre.

Younger builders will have fun putting together this simple set to create a pickup truck toy carrying a glowering jack-o-lantern pumpkin on the back. There's a great bit of 'pumpkinception' to be discovered, as you lift the top off the jack-o-lantern to reveal a small LEGO pumpkin element and a LEGO skull inside.
And with the LEGO Minifigure farmer at the wheel, your pickup truck is ready to drive to take its place as part of your Halloween LEGO display!
