One of the highlights of 2025 was the launch of the LEGO One Piece theme in August, and LEGO One Piece The Baratie Floating Restaurant (75640) is the flagship in that theme.
At over 3,400 pieces, it far exceeds the expectations of the name 'One Piece'! You also get an impressive 10 LEGO Minifigures, creating ample opportunity for imaginative play.

We made it through the sometimes tricky assembly of this set - and now we're bringing you our exclusive LEGO build review of The Baratie Floating Restaurant, so you know what's in store when you start piecing together your own set.
Our custom display case for LEGO 75640 The Baratie Floating Restaurant is available now, to keep this intricate set dust-free while on display on your desk or bookcase!

Release Date: Available now
Price: $329.99
Age: 18+

This is a big build: 3 instruction booklets, 27 bags and 840 steps to assemble over 3,400 pieces. In the end, you'll have a detailed Baratie hull on the front, with accessible playable interior rooms on the back.
You'll find kitchen and dining areas, a treasure room and Zeff's quarters. It's a versatile set, making for a fantastic LEGO bookcase display from the exterior view, and a fun interactive play set from the rear.
LEGO One Piece 75640 includes a total of 10 LEGO Minifigures: Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Zeff, Garp, Helmeppo, Koby and Mihawk.

This is a long (and at times quite tricky) build. But that's par for the course with such a high part count, and the process is also engaging and enjoyable.
For once, the 18+ age group seems about right. Younger builders will need to be experienced and extremely patient with the fiddlier assembly steps.
All of this adds to the appeal of the finished ship. There are so many details, like tiled floors, lanterns, and even cooking utensils in the kitchen, that make it worth the effort.

In any LEGO set, every piece has its place (with a varying amount of customisation) and LEGO One Piece 75640 The Baratie Floating Restaurant is no exception, but the consequences of making a mistake can be magnified because it's so intricate.

Clip a part to the wrong stud and you could find details appear in the wrong place later, on different levels of the ship, or won't join together at all. Patience, care and attention are crucial, and you might want to install the LEGO Builder app which allows you to zoom in on specific steps.
Pay close attention when installing the staircases, revolving seating, and fastening the sides of the ship on to the model - and as always, make sure all studs are securely pressed into place, so pieces don't pop off later.

Careful assembly isn't really a problem point - it just matters more when there's nearly 3,500 parts to put together.
We did find one actual error in this set. The assembly instructions tell you to add Label 14 to a lantern, but the correct sticker to use is Label 13.
It's a small mistake and probably comes from a slight change in the order of instructions (or a simple typo) but it could potentially be a stumbling block for builders who try to follow every instruction to the letter.

Our LEGO One Piece The Baratie Floating Restaurant Display Case for LEGO 75640 is the perfect way to keep the dust off your finished set, and you can choose to showcase the ship's exterior hull or interior Minifigure-filled rooms.
Again, with such a high piece count, it could be very easy to lose any parts that come loose. With our completely encased display box for LEGO 75640, that's less of a worry.

We also have a Display Case for LEGO One Piece The Going Merry Pirate Ship (75639) available in our shop now.
And don't forget to add LEGO Minifigure display plates and cases to give all your LEGO One Piece Minifigure characters a sturdy place to stand.

We enjoyed this build a lot. Experienced adult builders don't get too many challenges when you really count them up, but this one was fun, slightly fiddly, but never frustrating.
A line-up of 10 LEGO One Piece Minifigures is a great addition to an already very satisfying set, and should be enough to keep fans of the series happy - "not enough Minifigures" is a common complaint, but it really shouldn't be here.
Overall, if you have the patience, this could actually be a really relaxing way to pass a decent amount of time, and the end result is a fantastic LEGO One Piece display with enough detail to keep you coming back to look at it some more.
