LEGO New Releases for Pokémon Day 2026

LEGO New Releases for Pokémon Day 2026

February 27th 2026 marked 30 years since the release of the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green videogames in Japan (sorry for the reminder, 90s kids...).

To celebrate, a trio of Pokémon LEGO new releases hit the shops, featuring five favourite pocket monsters from the series:

Find out more about the new LEGO Pokémon sets below, as well as our custom display case for LEGO Pokémon 72153, which is coming soon.

LEGO Eevee being posed

LEGO Pokémon Eevee (72151)

Price: $59.99

Release Date: February 27th 2026 (Available Now)

Ages: 18+

Pieces: 587

LEGO Insiders Points: 390

Size: Over 19 cm tall

LEGO Eevee (72151) is an adorable start to the line-up of new LEGO Pokémon sets. Brick-built with 587 pieces, it perfectly captures Eevee's personality, perky ears and bushy tail.

Several elements can be posed, including those ears, tail, face, legs and feet, and there are easter eggs throughout the build that hint at Eevee's eight different possible evolutions (including Flareon, Jolteon and Vaporeon).

LEGO Eevee is a cute companion and an excellent start to a LEGO Pokémon display - and as one of the collectible characters in the original Pokémon Red, it's a perfect way to celebrate the 30th anniversary.

LEGO Pikachu on table looking up

LEGO Pokémon Pikachu and Poké Ball (72152)

Price: $199.99

Release Date: February 27th 2026 (Available Now)

Ages: 18+

Pieces: 2,050

LEGO Insiders Points: 1,300

Size: 35 x 26 x 39 cm (H x W x D)

LEGO Pokémon Pikachu (72152) is a surprisingly versatile build with several different customisation options. You can assemble Pikachu in a sitting position with a closed Poké Ball, or create a more dynamic LEGO Pokémon display with Pikachu launching from an open Poké Ball.

A choice of tail tips also allows you to finish your build with a male 'lightning tip' Pikachu or a female 'heart tip' tail form. If you're lucky enough to own two LEGO Pokémon 72152 sets, you could build both!

Like LEGO Eevee, your LEGO Pikachu can be posed with articulated limbs, feet and ears - and at 39 cm long, the finished build is practically life-sized.

LEGO Blastoise Charizard and Venusaur

LEGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise (72153)

Price: $649.99

Release Date: February 27th 2026 (Available Now)

Ages: 18+

Pieces: 6,838

LEGO Insiders Points: 4,225

Size: Over 23 cm (Venusaur), 20 cm (Charizard) and 18 cm (Blastoise) tall

This is the big one - and it really is big, with three different Pokémon figures measuring 18-23 cm tall and standing on a brick-built base that represents the Jungle, Volcano and Beach biomes from the Kanto Region.

With nearly 7,000 pieces, LEGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise (72153) is an intricate build, measuring 50 x 54 cm (H x W) when displayed on the included brick-built stand.

You can decide whether to showcase your set as a single dynamic battle scene, or to stand each Pokémon separately on its individual biome as part of an ever-growing LEGO Pokédex display.

Like a true Pokémon Trainer, you'll need patience and commitment to get through this build - so once it's done, make sure you show off LEGO Pokémon 72153 at its best in our made-to-measure display case!

LEGO Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard

How to display it

We're already working on our acrylic display case for LEGO 72153 Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, to keep your new LEGO Pokémon display safe from dust and misplaced pieces.

Like all of our custom LEGO display cases, it's made from high-quality acrylic and supplied flat-packed, with quick and easy assembly using our special fittings and screws.

The end result is a bespoke LEGO display case that protects your highly collectible LEGO Pokémon display without distracting from the dynamic poses of Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise.

Head over to the LEGO 72153 display case page and tick the box to be notified when it's available - we promise it's coming soon!
