Credit goes to Instagram user dylanchow, who has revealed LEGO Ninjago Micro Ninjago City 40703, an upcoming gift with purchase set due for release in 2024 as an add-on to the LEGO NINJAGO theme.

This 339-piece model looks to be a triumph of microscale brick design, with a large and varied amount of detail packed into the tiny city. The unauthorised images show that the set appears to be a smaller version of the previously released NINJAGO City 70620, which is now retired.

If you missed out on the epic three-storey city, the micro GWP version might be your best option, with the added advantage that its smaller size means it can be displayed on a desk or contained space as a funky ornament for fans of the animated movie.

As many have pointed out in the Instagram comments, the inclusion of the text "˜boat does not float' has a humorous ring to it, leading us to wonder whether such a disclaimer needed to be included. No doubt, plenty of collectors who receive the model will immediately place their traditional fishing boat piece straight into some water to find out!

Four NINJAGO Gift with Purchase Microscale Cities to Collect in 2024

Perhaps the most revealing and intriguing part of the box art leak is the announcement of three other models to collect, with GWP 40703 being only the first in the series of four. The silhouettes remind us of the Houses of the World promotional add-on sets, albeit a Ninjago-themed equivalent.

Having studied the teaser image outlines closely, it appears that set 40704 will be a microscale version of NINJAGO City Docks 70657, 40705 will be based on NINJAGO City Gardens 71741, and 40706 will recreate NINJAGO City Markets 71799 "“ exciting news for NINJAGO enthusiasts who love architecture-style sets.
