The Polaroid brand needs little introduction. Despite living in an age where easy, auto-contrast and auto-filtered photos are available on most smartphones and iPhones, the old-school instant camera has survived into modern times, offering something magical: a full-colour, vintage photo printed within seconds, complete with an iconic and unique white border. The smaller-than-a-postcard size also makes it perfect for sticking on a pinboard.
Real Polaroid cameras can be great fun, though the film tends to be extremely expensive. Fans of the item's distinctive look will soon be able to own a LEGO brick version of the famous device, saving money while still being able to display the pop-culture icon around the house.
Let's take a closer look at the LEGO Ideas Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera 21345. This nifty model was first devised by LEGO Ideas enthusiast Minibrick Productions - check out the original design here.
The new Polaroid replica will be available from 1st January 2024, but you can pre-order the set online now.
The Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera is priced at £69.99 - buy it at LEGO online.
The LEGO Ideas Polaroid Camera clocks in at 516 pieces.

The Polaroid camera is probably the most iconic photography device in the world, evoking memories of beloved instant snaps for anyone who grew up in the 70s, 80s and 90s. The camera also remains popular today, for enthusiasts looking for meaningful photography in an age of throwaway digital pictures.
The LEGO Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera 21345 perfectly recreates the device, with all the eye-catching details associated with the real product, including the colour spectrum lines, viewfinder, controls and square shape. The model also comes with a brick-built film Time-Zero Supercolor SX-70 Land Film pack and several 'photos' displaying the Polaroid inventor Edwin H. Land in LEGO Minifigure form.
As an added interactive element, the model also mimics the operation of a real Polaroid camera, allowing the photos to be loaded into the device and ejected using the red button.
This nostalgic gift idea looks fantastic displayed anywhere and should prove popular with older LEGO enthusiasts - we also expect to see a few gracing the shelves of photography students at universities worldwide!
