It's time to take a monthly look at what's new in the brick-building world. We've picked out some of the best new LEGO sets for October 2025, featuring some of the most nostalgic franchises on the block.
This is a great time to be born in the 1980s-90s, with new LEGO sets inspired by 1989's Nintendo Game Boy, 1984's Gremlins, and the 1980s-set Stranger Things.
If none of those take your fancy, there's also a gorgeous LEGO Ideas Mineral Collection to add to your bookcase or hang as a LEGO wall display.
Let's dive in and see what October 2025's new LEGO releases have in store...

Officially part of the LEGO Super Mario theme, the LEGO Nintendo Game Boy (72046) is a near-life-size recreation of the iconic 1990s handheld console (technically 1989, if you were lucky enough to get one soon after launch day).
It looks fantastic - from a distance you'd mistake it for the real thing - and although it doesn't have any interactive features, it makes for an excellent LEGO bookshelf display piece.
The finished build can be customised with a choice of screen inserts and brick-built game cartridges, so your LEGO Game Boy can appear to be playing Super Mario Land, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, or displaying the Nintendo logo on the loading screen.
A cute touch that isn't mentioned loudly enough is the fact that the game screens are lenticular - they change when viewed from different angles - which is a clever way to create the illusion of an animated screen on this super nostalgic set.
For this special set, iDisplayit has created a bespoke display case, and a very special backdrop art worth checking out - acrylic display case for LEGO Nintendo Game Boy (72046).

Even more Gen Y nostalgia awaits in LEGO Ideas Gremlins: Gizmo (21361), who stands slightly smaller than lifesize at 20cm (the 'real' Gizmo is closer to 30cm tall).
The plucky mogwai is instantly recognisable thanks to his large ears and soulful eyes, all of which have been recreated perfectly in this set. Accessories include 80s-style 3D glasses and a subtle water element on Gizmo's back, which hints at the chaos about to ensue.
Gizmo himself can be posed in a standing or sitting position. His head rotates, and you can also adjust his arms, hands, fingers and feet, adding to the sense of realism.
If you ever wanted a pet mogwai of your own (I think all 80s kids did...) this is your chance - just keep it out of bright light, don't get it wet, and never, ever build it after midnight.

The official full name for this set is LEGO BrickHeadz Mike, Dustin, Lucas and Will Figures (40801) but it will inevitably get called 'Stranger Things BrickHeadz'.
Like LEGO Gizmo, it does an impressive job of capturing the most iconic features of all four Stranger Things characters, such as Dustin's curly hair, or Lucas's headband and binoculars.
With the final season coming in November and December of 2025, this is the perfect time to add the show's heroes to your LEGO BrickHeadz display.
Don't forget to pick up our LEGO Display Case for 4 BrickHeadz, so you can spend less time dustin' Dustin (and his friends).

No TV, movie or video game tie-in with this set, just a vibrant LEGO wall display that can be split up into freestanding shelf units.
LEGO Ideas Mineral Collection (21362) features three shelving frames, on which you can display brick-built minerals including golden pyrite, purple amethyst, watermelon tourmaline, pink rhodochrosite, tangerine quartz and blue fluorite.
At a depth of 7cm, it's shallow enough to make for a fantastic LEGO wall display, but we also love the modularity if you're looking for an alternative to LEGO book nooks.
Lots of colours, shapes and translucent elements give this set a unique character, and the six minerals can each be built separately, making it easy to enjoy the build in bite-sized sessions.
