With great joy, we can confirm that LEGO has announced the official release date of LEGO 75397 UCS Jabba's Sail Barge. It's been over a decade since the last LEGO rendition of this iconic ship, and we are excited to see this new, larger version and its contents.

LEGO 75397 Jabba's Sail Barge will be floating onto shelves from the 6th of October 2024. LEGO Insiders will have early access and be able to purchase it in-store or online between the 3rd - 5th of October.
The cost of LEGO 75397 UCS Jabba's Sail Barge is $499.99.

There are eleven LEGO Minifigures included with LEGO Star Wars 75397, which are:
There are 3,942 pieces in LEGO 75397 UCS Jabba's Sail Barge. That's 3,092 more than 2013's LEGO 75020 Jabba's Sail Barge and 3,161 more than 2006's LEGO 6210 Jabba's Sail Barge. Unlike its predecessors, LEGO 75397 UCS Jabba's Sail Barge is one for us big kids, the adults AFOLs if you will! Whilst it does have playability, this set is intended to be used as a display piece, and what a fantastic display it will make.
This latest version of Jabba's Sail Barge is a big unit and measures over 77cm long. So what does this ship contain? As with the previous models, the top deck can be removed, and the sides can be folded down to reveal the intricacies within. The interior of this gargantuan ship includes:

The sails are made of fabric and can be adjusted for maximum travelling speed. We are glad that LEGO retained the textile sails; we think they have a great aesthetic. The Barge comes with an information plaque that can be displayed on the buildable stand, which also serves as a display for the LEGO Jabba figure. There is also a 25th-anniversary brick that is part of the stand.

It's fantastic that LEGO 75397 includes eleven LEGO Minifigures, as the previous releases only included six (LEGO 75020) and eight (LEGO 6210). Our favourite character included with this October release is Max Rebo. We are so glad that he has resurfaced, as he has not been seen since his appearance in 2013 (with LEGO 75020). The Ortolans are an epic race and deserve more coverage. Granted, LEGO Star Wars The Onyx Cinder has Neel, so there is some representation on other sets.
This set will look amazing when displayed with LEGO 75396Â Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit. It will be like having a 3D still from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi on your shelf.
We almost forgot: LEGO is offering a Star Wars GWP with purchases of LEGO 75397; it is LEGO 40730 Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber.
Are you going to add LEGO 75397 to your collection? In the comments below, let us know your thoughts on this long-awaited release.
