A new LEGO GWP is always an exciting chance to get your hands on a collectible LEGO set for free, but the Wonders of Nature dioramas are some of the most attractive we've seen in recent months.
The new LEGO GWP for July 2025, African Savanna Diorama (40784), is the third of four LEGO 'wonders of the natural world' and comes hot on the heels of Tropical Rainforest Diorama (40782) and Coral Reef Diorama (40783).
Let's take a look at what you get with LEGO GWP African Savanna Diorama, which is available when you spend over $150, for LEGO Insiders only.
African Savanna Diorama is available as a LEGO Gift With Purchase (GWP) on qualifying purchases from July 8th - 17th 2025. You can check the terms and conditions at the LEGO Offers and Promotions page.
LEGO 40784 African Savanna GWP is currently available for free with purchases over $150. Its official retail price is $19.99.
LEGO 40784 African Savanna Diorama GWP contains 287 pieces, including brick-built animals, plants and some cute finishing details.
While there are no LEGO Minifigures included in this set, you will assemble a brick-built elephant and a marabou stork with its own egg.

Price: Free GWP (usually $19.99)
Release date: GWP offer July 8th-17th 2025
Pieces: 287
Size: 12cm x 13cm x 13cm (H x W x D)
Age: 12+
Each of the Wonders of Nature GWP dioramas has been extra colourful and packed with tiny details, and African Savanna continues that trend with some of the sights you'd expect to see around a savanna watering hole.
As you click together nearly 300 LEGO bricks, you'll build:
The sandy colours and earth tones in this build set it apart as African-themed, compared with the vivid greenery of the previous Tropical Rainforest GWP (40782), allowing you to work towards a larger diorama with distinctive scenes.

A lot of the details in this set are adorable in their own ways. The baby elephant is the star of the show, but the marabou stork's pink breast and black wings make it a really colourful addition to the scene.
Blue translucent water pieces always add a unique aesthetic to any LEGO build, the bright yellow flowers bring some extra contrast, and the stork's egg at the very top of the tree makes sure that every inch of height in the finished build has a part to play.

We've liked every instalment in the LEGO 'wonders of the natural world' GWP line-up so far, and it's nice to see that continue. African Savanna Diorama (40784) does a fantastic job of recreating the distinctive look of the trees, along with the quirky brick-built animals.
The elephant is a baby, so it's about the same height as the stork (5 feet or 150cm in real life), which gives this set an extra cuteness and a consistent scale for the creatures. It also means that African Savanna should look great on display either on its own or alongside the other collectible LEGO Wonders of Nature dioramas.
