New LEGO Promotion To Celebrate Batman's 85th Birthday!

2024 sees Batman celebrating the 85th anniversary of his first-ever appearance in "Detective Comics" #27. Batman appeared in "The Case of the Chemical Syndicate", where he battles the bad guys, saves the innocent and eventually finishes off the criminal element in a vat of acid - all in a day's work for a masked hero.

This six-page tale was just a taster of what was to come from this nocturnal vigilante. Bob Kane and Bill Finger continued to create Batman's adventures for Detective Comics, and then in April 1940, Batman No. 1 appeared on newsstands. Gotham's finest was still filling pages in Detective Comics as well as having his self-titled comic line.
