The Mandalorian: The Evolution of Grogu LEGO Sets

As The Mandalorian and Grogu movie hits cinemas around the world, LEGO Star Wars fans have a new set to build featuring the star of the show - Grogu, the artist formerly known as Baby Yoda.

LEGO Star Wars Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) 75446 is the third major Grogu LEGO set since the series premiered at the end of 2019. Let's take a look at the LEGO Star Wars Grogu sets so far, the similarities and the differences.

They're actually quite similar in stats, although LEGO 75403 featured a smaller Grogu figure with a Hover Pram. Both LEGO 75318 and LEGO 75446 consist solely of a brick-built Grogu statue, but the new set is more detailed, with over 100 more pieces and posable arms.

Released back when Grogu was still known officially as The Child - and unofficially as Baby Yoda - LEGO Star Wars 75318 is rated for ages 10 and up, which is quite young for a LEGO display set.

The OG (Original Grogu) set had posable head, movable ears and an adjustable mouth, allowing it to portray different facial expressions. There was also a gearstick knob element for the figure to hold, Grogu's favourite toy in the show.

LEGO 75318 was complete with an information sign and The Child LEGO Minifigure, the ideal companions to the brick-built figure as part of any LEGO Star Wars display.

In 2025, Baby Yoda fans were treated to a very cute new addition. LEGO Star Wars Grogu with Hover Pram (75403) includes a brick-built Grogu AND a brick-built Hover Pram for him to ride in.

This Grogu figure can be placed in the Hover Pram or stand alone. He has posable head and ears, along with dials to move his arms. There's a gearshift knob again, plus snacks including cookies and a brick-built Sorgan frog. Yum!

LEGO 75403 again comes with an information plaque, and a "standard-size Grogu LEGO figure" which is a Minifigure-scale Grogu in a tiny buildable Hover Pram.

The new LEGO Grogu set for this year is LEGO Star Wars Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) 75446 and landed just in time for the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu movie in May 2026.

It's similar to the 2020 set at first glance, but it's more detailed, with 125 more pieces. This time around, Grogu is portrayed in beskar armour with a satchel, which can hold a tasty blue cookie.

There are more ways to pose him, with movable mouth, ears, hands and fingers. You can detach and reattach his arms in different positions, and use the lever to turn his head. Display LEGO Grogu 75446 alongside his information plaque and a Minifigure-scale Grogu.
