Universal Theme Parks to Celebrate Jurassic Park's 30th Anniversary

If you've ever wanted to take a trip to Jurassic Park for real, you can now head to the east or west coast for a dinosaur-fuelled adventure.

From June 9^th, 2023, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood will kick off their celebrations for the 30^th anniversary of 1993's original Jurassic Park. The much-loved film spawned a hit dinosaur-packed franchise, inspiring numerous games, books, toys, LEGO sets, and other merchandise. To honour the film's 30th birthday, both parks will transport visitors to Isla Nubar with exclusive theme decorations, merchandise and more.

Universal Orlando Resort invites guests to walk through the iconic Jurassic Park entry gates and fulfil their thrill-seeking yearnings at the Universal Islands of Adventure. These include the Jurassic World VelociCoaster, a rollercoaster featuring two high-velocity launches and four inversions, and the classic Jurassic Park River Adventure, a water-boat-style journey into the unknown featuring animatronic dinosaurs. In addition, Pteranodon Flyers offers something for the kids, with a chance to soar through the air beneath the 10-foot wings of a flying dinosaur.

Along with special film screenings at Universal Cinemark, guests can grab exclusive merchandise and themed food and beverages. The park has billed the Jurassic Park Tribute Shop as "a store more than 65 million years in the making", offering more than just a retail experience with immersive themed rooms exploring the history of the movie's production. We're pleased to confirm this includes a reproduction of the scene where the man got eaten by a T-rex on the toilet!

Universal Studios Hollywood features the popular Jurassic World "“ The Ride, a newer take on the riverboat cruise featuring digital effects alongside classic models. During the "relaxing cruise", riders come face-to-face with the Indominus rex as she stalks the tourists through a twisting jungle after escaping her paddock.

Dinosaur-themed collectable merchandise will be available from UNIVRS and Universal Studios Store on CityWalk and at the Universal Studio Store and Jurassic Outfitters next to the Jurassic World ride.
