"This looks like fun, this looks like fun, oh could it be I got my wish?"
Jack Skellington
Tim Burton is the master of stop-motion animation and The Nightmare Before Christmas is widely considered to be one of the greatest animated movies of all time. Based upon a poem that Tim Burton wrote in 1982, this 1993 release has become a cult classic.
Maybe it's just us, but it seems many seasons have passed since we first heard about the LEGO Ideas NBC set designed by Simon Scott (Tvrulesmylife). Now, we finally have it confirmed as an official release. Congratulations to Simon.
The eagerly awaited LEGO Nightmare Before Christmas set will be released on September 6th 2024, but LEGO Insiders can purchase it between September 3rd - 5th.
LEGO 21351 will set you back $199.99; treat yourself to a little Halloween goodness.
There are eight LEGO Minifigures included with LEGO 21351 which are:
LEGO 21351 has 2,193 spooky pieces, that's 696 more than Jaws - we're going to need a bigger shelf!
The LEGO 21351 Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas build uses 2,193 pieces to create three integral parts of Halloween Town:
The three sections are all built separately and then can connect to form the town. The fountain in front of the town hall is a lurid shade of green, just like in the movie, and the iconic countdown to next Halloween/Christmas adorns the front of the town hall.
Other notable features are the lectern in the town hall from which Jack gives his Christmas speech, Jack's room, which has skulls, pumpkins, and other seasonal accessories, and the walking bathtub. The walking bathtub is a fantastically innovative way of kidnapping someone, and we are so pleased that it was included in this set.
While Jack and Sally LEGO minifigures have been available since May 2019 with the LEGO Disney CMF Series, the figures included in LEGO 21351 differ. The changes with Jack are as follows:
Sally seems to have some minor alterations:
Whilst we think that LEGO 21351 Disney Tim Burton's NBC is an amazing set and has stayed pretty true to Simon's original idea, there are a couple of things we would have liked to have seen:
