When Atlanta-based LEGO enthusiast Robert Becker built his own Snoopy & Woodstock LEGO MOC, he couldn't have imagined that his design would eventually become the first-ever licensed LEGO Peanuts set.
But after a year of coaxing by friends and family, Robert finally submitted his 'Snoopy Campfire' concept to LEGO Ideas, where it collected the 10,000 votes needed to go forward for formal review.
LEGO's designers took the idea and ran with it, adding Snoopy's iconic red doghouse to the build, which can transform into a starry night sky to serve as the backdrop to the campfire scene.
It's a versatile LEGO display set aimed at adults, but we're sure younger builders will love it too - and it's coming this June 1st!

Robert's original LEGO Ideas submission was a campfire scene, with lovingly brick-built Snoopy and Woodstock figures.
He explained: "I've always been a huge fan of Snoopy and the LEGO brand, so I decided to design my own version of him. It wasn't easy, he and Woodstock are so recognisable that translating them into 3D LEGO models took a lot of trial and error."
Robert added: "I'm beyond excited and honoured that Snoopy is becoming an official LEGO set."

As the name suggests, this set has come a long way from Robert's original campfire concept. Monica Pedersen, marketing director at the LEGO Group, says that the red kennel was added "to further enhance the set's timeless appeal".
With just under 1,000 pieces, this makes LEGO Peanuts Snoopy's Doghouse (21368) a versatile LEGO display set which includes:
Lift the kennel to reveal the starry scene, which folds out to create a flat background for the campfire.

The brick-built LEGO Snoopy figure is a 3-in-1 build in its own right, with a choice of standing or sitting legs, and two different neck positions for standing or lying down.
In the lying down position, Snoopy can be placed on top of the doghouse with Woodstock on his belly - an iconic pose that will be familiar to Peanuts fans of all ages.
Overall, it's a set with plenty of charm and despite the 18+ age range, we think there's huge potential for imaginative play as you bring these two much-loved characters to life.
