The first new LEGO ONE PIECE sets are now available online and in-store. With five dioramas and two BrickHeadz figures in the line-up, let's take a look at everything you can own as of now.
The flagship (no pun intended) in the LEGO ONE PIECE first wave is The Baratie Floating Restaurant (75640), an 'adults welcome' build with a massive 3,402 pieces to assemble.
Price: $329.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 3,402
Size: 35 x 54 x 27cm (H x W x D)
LEGO Insiders points: 2,145
It's a beautiful LEGO display piece that doubles as a play set, and one of the two larger sets in the initial LEGO ONE PIECE range that we correctly predicted back in May!
This set is definitely more about aesthetics, with accessible interiors based on the live-action Netflix ONE PIECE series, five collectible 'Wanted' posters, and a cast of ten LEGO ONE PIECE Minifigures:
With the front showing the exterior of The Baratie, and the rear showing the interior rooms, the only question you'll need to answer is which side to display. And, if you're looking to keep your ship looking new at all times, check out iDisplayit and their display case, custom-made for the LEGO 75640 One Piece Baratie Floating Restaurant.
Although it's a smaller set, it makes sense for The Going Merry Pirate Ship (75639) to be open to a wider age group - this set is suitable for ages 10 and up.
Price: $139.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 1,376
Size: 34 x 39 x 20cm (H x L x W)
LEGO Insiders points: 910
We love the level of detail on this recreation of the Straw Hat Pirates' trusty ship. Each Minifigure has its own place in the finished build, which includes the complete ship with masts, sails and deck.
Open the hidden hatches to reveal below-decks interiors including the kitchen, crew cabin and storage area. There's even a working cannon-style shooter at the front of the ship.
This set comes with a further four 'Wanted' posters for your collection, along with five LEGO ONE PIECE Minifigures:
Early reviews of The Going Merry (75639) have been VERY positive. It's quite a lengthy build process and (except for the Minifigures) fans say it's a good match for the ship's design in the anime series, as well as the Netflix live-action. iDisplayit will have a display case for the set in the next month or so - you can sign up to be notified from this link.
This is one we didn't predict, but it's a fun interactive set and we LOVE Luffy's stretchable arms!
Price: $79.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 926
Size: 29 x 16 x 10cm (H x W x D)
LEGO Insiders points: 600
Battle at Arlong Park (75638) is a true playset with several standalone parts - the size dimensions given above are just for the main pagoda build.
There's also a shooting gallery, 'shark attack' building, forest (complete with ketchup bottle!) and a drink shack. You get three 'Wanted' posters with this set, as well as five LEGO ONE PIECE Minifigures:
Some really unique design choices make Battle at Arlong Park stand out. The Luffy Minifigure has stretchy "arm-lengthening elements" and the pagoda can collapse with a firm tap on the roof - possibly the only time you WANT your LEGO to fall apart!
Vibrant and versatile. Some of the elements in Buggy the Clown's Circus Tent (75637) would make a great addition to any circus, carnival or fairground diorama, and it's at a price point that offers excellent value if you decide to do that.
Price: $54.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 573
Size: 16 x 15 x 14cm (H x W x D)
LEGO Insiders points: 357
This set has got our imaginations fired up. The main tent does double duty as an exterior piece or as the backdrop for an interior play set. But it's the three 'circus contraptions' that offer so many possibilities.
There's a water tank to escape from, a hanging cage, a spinning knife-throwing wheel, audience seating, boxes, barrels and other accessories. All of these would look great as part of a bigger circus build or added to your LEGO theme park.
You get two collectible 'Wanted' posters with Buggy the Clown's Circus Tent, and four LEGO ONE PIECE Minifigures:
This set has a slightly younger age group, suitable for builders aged 8 and up, but with the lower price, it's a fantastic way to get your hands on some carnival-themed elements and accessories.
The child-friendly name Windmill Village Hut (75636) is a bit cheeky. This is actually Party's Bar, the third set we correctly predicted in May!
Price: $29.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 299
Size: 13 x 19 x 19cm (H x W x D)
LEGO Insiders points: 195
With a target age group of 8+, it's understandable why LEGO opted to call this set Windmill Village Hut (75636) and not Party's Bar, but there's no denying the sign over the serving area!
LEGO says: "Kids can remove the roof of the beachside shop to access its fun-filled interior. Inside, they'll find accessories for running the shop and entertaining customers."
Outside the hut, there's a jetty and a small pirate boat attached by a chain. You get one 'Wanted' poster, but there's room to display more. There are also three LEGO ONE PIECE Minifigures:
It might have made more sense to call this set LEGO ONE PIECE Party's Bar and make it an 'adults welcome' build, but the name is a sneaky way to make it suitable for younger builders too.
Finally, there are two LEGO ONE PIECE BrickHeadz to choose from:
Price: $9.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 136
Size: Over 9cm tall
LEGO Insiders points: 65
The star of the show. LEGO ONE PIECE BrickHeadz Monkey D. Luffy Figure (40799) captures the character perfectly, with his outfit, tufty hair, facial scar and iconic straw hat.
Price: $9.99
Release date: Available now
Pieces: 176
Size: Over 9cm tall
LEGO Insiders points: 65
Super quirky, LEGO ONE PIECE BrickHeadz Buggy the Clown Figure (40800) shows the circus clown in full makeup and pirate hat.
If you're picking up both LEGO ONE PIECE BrickHeadz, be sure to order our display case for 2x LEGO BrickHeadz, which will keep them safe and show them at their very best.
Which LEGO ONE PIECE sets and Minifigures are you most excited for - and what do you hope will be added to the line-up next?
