LEGO Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D Boldly Goes Where No Brick Has Gone Before

LEGO Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D Boldly Goes Where No Brick Has Gone Before

LEGO... the final frontier. These are the Minifigures of the Starship Enterprise. Their maiden mission, to build brand new sets. To seek out new desks and new bookshelves. To boldly go where no brick has gone before.

The newly unveiled LEGO Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D (10356) is a faithful 3,600-piece reconstruction of the United Federation of Planets' Galaxy-Class flagship, known to fans of Star Trek: The Next Generation simply as the Enterprise D.

Under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, the Enterprise D featured throughout the 1987-94 TV series, until it met an untimely fate in 1994's big-screen adventure Star Trek Generations.

It was later recovered and rebuilt by its former chief engineer, Geordi La Forge - and now you can do the same, as the spectacular USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D (10356) is the first official LEGO Star Trek set to hit stores.

What's in the LEGO Star Trek Enterprise set?

The Enterprise is the star of the show here. At 60cm long and 48cm wide (approx. 24 x 18 inches) it's an eye-catching display piece with an angled display stand and information plaque.

You also get LEGO Minifigures of the main Enterprise crew members, several accessories, and even a Minifigure-scale figure of Lt Cdr Data's pet cat, Spot.

LEGO Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D (10356)

Price: $399.99

Release date: Friday November 28th 2025

Ages: 18+

Pieces: 3,600

LEGO Minifigures: 9

Dimensions: 27 x 60 x 48cm (H x L x W)

The full list of crew members included as LEGO Star Trek Minifigures in this set is:

  • Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Commanding Officer)
  • Commander William Riker (First Officer)
  • Dr Beverly Crusher (Chief Medical Officer)
  • Guinan (Ten Forward Bartender)
  • Lieutenant Commander Data (Second Officer)
  • Lieutenant Commander Deanna Troi (Ship's Counsellor)
  • Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge (Chief Engineer)
  • Lieutenant Worf (Chief of Security)
  • Wesley Crusher (Ensign)

Accessories include:

  • Spot the cat figure
  • a teacup (hopefully Earl Grey, hot)
  • a bottle
  • a phaser
  • a tricorder
  • an engineering case
  • a trombone with stand
  • a portable tractor beam generator
  • a PADD (Personal Access Display Device)

It's a nice touch that there are nine Minifigures and nine accessories, so every crew member can have their own accessory.

The brick-built display stand for the ship is black and quite chunky, which is visually distracting from the finished Enterprise - something that can be put right by swapping it for one of our clear acrylic LEGO display stands instead (coming soon - sign up to be notified).

What to expect from the build

The LEGO Star Trek USS Enterprise D (10356) does a good job of making a round saucer section out of mostly rectangular pieces, giving it the iconic appearance of the Starfleet flagship while keeping with the LEGO aesthetic too.

Once assembled, you'll have a complete Enterprise NCC-1701-D with red and blue accent colours, detachable command saucer, twin warp nacelles, an opening shuttlebay door and two mini shuttlepods.

It's definitely intended for display - there are no interiors to play with - although you can pop off the shuttlebay door and separate the saucer section (which is probably the feature most fans would ask for).

With 30 bags and some fairly complex build techniques, including a lot of SNOT assembly (Studs Not On Top), it's understandable that this set is aimed at adults. Experienced younger builders will probably do just fine too, but might need some grown-up help with the trickier steps.

LEGO Starship Enterprise Black Friday offers

This set launched officially on Black Friday, November 28th 2025, and there were some special offers to add to your new LEGO Star Trek collection for free...

LEGO Star Trek Type-15 Shuttlepod (40768)

Price: Free Gift With Purchase

Release date: Available November 28th - December 1st 2025

Ages: 18+

Pieces: 261

LEGO Minifigures: 1 (Ensign Ro Laren)

Dimensions: 6 x 12 x 8cm (H x L x W)

The first LEGO Star Trek GWP is a Minifigure-scale Type-15 Shuttlepod (40768) and is only available while stocks last, when you order LEGO 10356 during the LEGO Black Friday Weekend event. This starts on Black Friday, November 28th, and runs until Cyber Monday, December 1st 2025.

It's not to the same scale as the Enterprise D model, but instead matches the size of the LEGO Star Trek Minifigures, and includes a unique LEGO Minifigure Ensign Ro Laren, played by Michelle Forbes in Star Trek TNG and reprised in the third season of Star Trek: Picard.

She's one of the most popular minor characters in Star Trek history, only appearing in seasons 5-7 of TNG, and holds the honour of being the first Bajoran character to appear on-screen.

With no other LEGO Star Trek sets available as yet, this Black Friday GWP is so far your only opportunity to get your hands on anything besides the Enterprise D - so it's one fans won't want to miss.

Win a signed LEGO USS Enterprise D set

To celebrate the launch, LEGO Insiders could enter a sweepstake to win a LEGO Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D (10356) set signed by Number One himself, Will Riker, AKA actor and director Jonathan Frakes.

Entry was open until Cyber Monday, December 1st 2025, and cost zero LEGO Insiders points, so there was really nothing to lose!

LEGO Insiders members can enter the prize draw once each, and must be aged 18 or older. There's one signed set to be won worldwide, with the randomly selected winner due to be contacted via email after the contest closes at 11:59pm GMT on Cyber Monday.

How to display LEGO Star Trek Enterprise D (10356)

We're huge fans of Star Trek at iDisplayit, so we're already working on a custom display case for LEGO 10356 that shows it off at its absolute best.

An iconic vessel like the Enterprise D deserves a bespoke background, which we're designing right now, so you can choose between a fully transparent display case and a pre-applied printed vinyl backdrop.

To be first in the know when our new LEGO Star Trek display case is ready, tick the box marked 'Notify me when this product is available' on the order page and we'll contact you as soon as it goes on sale.

We're counting down the days until the launch of the first LEGO Star Trek set - it's been a long time coming!

Let us know your favourite Star Trek TNG character and where you will be putting your LEGO Star Trek Enterprise display case.
