Stijn Oom, who designed the set for LEGO, said: "One of the most challenging yet crucial aspects was translating the 'impasto' effect into LEGO bricks while preserving the painting's asymmetrical yet balanced composition."

Van Gogh famously signed his works 'Vincent' and one of the 2,615 pieces in LEGO 31215 Sunflowers is a single signature tile bearing the artist's name in light blue.
