LEGO KPop Demon Hunters: First Set, New Theme and What's Coming Next

The new LEGO KPop Demon Hunters theme has launched with the release of LEGO KPop Demon Hunters Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird (72537), which is available now.

But what can fans expect from the first set and the future of this theme? Here's what you need to know about LEGO 72537 and when you can expect the next releases...

LEGO KPop Demon Hunters Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird (72537)

Price: $69.99

Release Date: Available Now

Ages: 9+

Pieces: 825

LEGO Insiders Points: 455

Size: 21 x 15 x 15cm (H x W x D)

The first LEGO KPop Demon Hunters set is Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird (72537) and it's great to see this aimed at such a young age group. A medium piece count and less complicated assembly means builders aged 9 and above can tackle this one.

You get a brick-built Derpy Tiger with plenty of character. The bright blue bricks are a great match for his cerulean fur, and his face is adorable whether in the 'smile' config or with his tongue stuck out to carry a love note. Sussie Bird is a nice addition too, and can stand on Derpy's head to display together.

A middle-ground price means LEGO KPop Demon Hunters 72537 is in the same ballpark as LEGO One Piece Tony Tony Chopper (75643), which is also age 9+ and priced at $69.99, but has a smaller piece count of 577.

Lots of Ways to Customise

You also get plenty of posing options with LEGO 72537. Derpy's head, legs and paws can all be positioned, as can Sussie's neck and feet. Derpy's facial expression can be switched too, from a derpy smile, to a tongue-out face with one of two love notes attached.

Finally, there's a flowerpot for Derpy to knock over - and all the spare accessories can be stored inside a secret compartment in the tiger's head, so that alternative love note is kept safe when not in use.

It's a cute introduction to brick-building for fans of the Netflix movie phenomenon, and a great crossover for anyone who's already into both LEGO and KPop Demon Hunters.

The Start of a New Theme

It's always promising when LEGO create a whole new theme for a single set - and sure enough, there are more LEGO KPop Demon Hunters sets on the horizon.

Lena Dixen, senior vice-president of product group/core businesses at the LEGO Group, said: "KPop Demon Hunters and LEGO fans will finally get to combine their passions and immerse themselves in the world of KPop Demon Hunters through LEGO building.

"The movie has taken the entire world by storm, and we just couldn't wait to work with Netflix on this one. We hope fans will be as excited about the sets as we are!"

A Global Phenomenon

With more than 500 million views on Netflix, the movie - which has spawned number-one spin-off songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and won the first-ever Grammy Award for a K-pop song for 'Golden' - has built an enormous audience worldwide.

Fans can get stuck into LEGO KPop Demon Hunters Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird (72537) now, but you'll have to wait until the new year for more, since there are no more 2026 KPop Demon Hunters LEGO sets on the schedule.

As for 2027 KPop Demon Hunters LEGO sets, there are no details as yet, but we'd like to see builds based on the movie's demon-hunting K-pop heroes HUNTR/X, or their demonic rivals, Saja Boys.

How to Display It

If you're starting your KPop Demon Hunters LEGO display, our 18 x 18 x 24cm display case should be a good fit for Derpy Tiger with enough room for Sussie to stand on Derpy's head.

We'll be keeping an eye on any upcoming LEGO KPop Demon Hunters releases, and will of course create custom LEGO display cases for any statement pieces!

Who's your favourite KPop Demon Hunters character? What new LEGO sets do you hope to see in 2027?
