NINE new LEGO World Cup sets land just in time for kick-off!

LEGO World Cup sets are like London buses - you wait for ages for one, and then loads of them come along.

Regular readers will remember in February, we brought you a preview of the LEGO Editions FIFA World Cup Trophy (43020) and the LEGO Editions Soccer Ball (43019).

Our fantastic display case for LEGO 43020 is now available, with an optional printed background that shows confetti raining down on a football pitch after the final whistle. We're also working to bring you a made-to-measure display case for LEGO 43019, too.

And... with the 2026 World Cup kicking off barely 12 weeks after those sets launched, we really thought that might be it for soccer-themed LEGO sets this summer.

How wrong we were! Just in time for the first fixtures of this summer's event, LEGO have dropped another NINE new World Cup LEGO sets.

Here's our whistle-stop tour of everything now available in the LEGO Editions World Cup 2026 theme...

World Cup Emblem and USA National Kit

First up are the two LEGO World Cup sets with the 'widest' appeal. There's a gorgeous LEGO wall display featuring the 2026 Official Emblem, and a framed LEGO frieze of co-host nation USA's national team jersey.

LEGO Editions FIFA World Cup 2026 Official Emblem (43032)

In theory, this is the LEGO World Cup 2026 set with the broadest appeal. It's not country-specific or player-specific, and it honestly looks very attractive, with a colourful brick-built '26' background, FIFA logo and FIFA World Cup trophy.

LEGO Editions FIFA World Cup 2026 Official Emblem (43032) has a photo-frame-style stand, allowing it to free-stand on a desktop or shelf. But at just 7cm thick, it's ideally suited to be part of your LEGO World Cup 2026 wall display.

One thing to note with LEGO World Cup Emblem 43032 is that official height measurement of "over 14cm". The build is 24 studs tall, plus a little extra for the white border. By our calculations, that makes it at least 20cm tall in wall-hanging mode - making it even better value for just under £20!

Great news for our American customers, as LEGO Editions 2026 US Soccer National Team Jersey (43033) means the co-host nation USA is currently the only country whose national soccer kit is available in brick-buildable format.

It's a simple build with 167 pieces, but it looks pretty good when finished. The two included LEGO Minifigures are dressed in the two USA soccer kits - Stars and Stripes - and come with customizable heads and hair (including female options).

The shirt number is added using stickers, which not all builders will love, but it does mean you can display any number from 0 to 99, including single-digit jerseys. It's a great way to make the LEGO US Soccer Jersey set more versatile, to celebrate a favorite player, a year (e.g. 26) or perhaps the recipient's age if giving this set as a LEGO birthday gift.

LEGO Editions Soccer Highlights: Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe and Vini Jr

Up next are four sets that celebrate World Cup legends. We LOVE these dynamic LEGO display sets with their unique Minifigures, and we always like it when there are multiple matching builds to add to your LEGO World Cup display (or any other LEGO display!).

We're not picking favourites - LEGO Editions Lionel Messi - Soccer Highlights (43011) is just first in order of set number! With 500 pieces for just under £25, this is a FANTASTIC value build packed with details to honour the master, Lionel Messi.

There's an info plaque and a brick-built 'Messi' name, a base in the blue and white of Argentina, and a large number 10 backdrop.

LEGO Minifigure Lionel Messi is absolutely adorable and looks delighted as he kicks a supersonic strike into a set of brick-built goalposts. Back of the net!

Even more vibrant and dynamic is LEGO Editions Cristiano Ronaldo - Soccer Highlights (43012) with its red, green and yellow colour scheme.

This time the backdrop reads 'CR7', there's a Ronaldo info plaque and a brick-built "Siuu!" in honour of Ronaldo's traditional celebration catchphrase.

We're obsessed with the bicycle-kicking Cristiano Ronaldo LEGO Minifigure in this set, and we love how the designers gave his shot-on-goal a burst of orange flame to match the colour scheme of the build.

Did You Know? "Siuuuu!" is Spanish for "Yessss!" and Ronaldo first did the celebration in 2013 in Miami, Florida - making the 2026 World Cup a kind of homecoming for the legend in what could be his last major tournament.

LEGO Editions Kylian Mbappe - Soccer Highlights (43013) is like a mashup of the Messi and Ronaldo sets, with the same number 10 backdrop (the 0 is turned upside-down for variety!) and a very similar overall layout to the Ronaldo scene as LEGO Minifigure Kylian Mbappe scores a fire-trailing goal.

That's no bad thing - if this is the only LEGO Editions Spccer Highlights set you buy, it doesn't matter anyway. And if you're putting all four in your LEGO World Cup 2026 display, it helps them to feel like a matching theme.

Red, white and blue base colours give reference to Mbappe's national team of France, reinforced by a brick-built Arc de Triomphe topped by two World Cup winner stars. Mbappe's name is spelled out in white bricks, and again there's a signature info plaque.

The fourth and final LEGO Editions Soccer Highlights set is Brazil's Vini Jr, with possibly the most aesthetic build of the four.

LEGO Editions Vini Jr - Soccer Highlights (43027) has both Vini Jr's name and shirt number as the vertical backdrop, making it an excellent LEGO bookshelf display. LEGO Minifigure Vini Jr is also facing front, and this time his shot's shockwave is blue, like Messi's.

A typically Brazilian green and yellow scene surrounds the Vini Jr Minifigure, and the info plaque is front and centre, giving the set a satisfying symmetry. There's a lot to like about this build!

LEGO Editions Soccer Legends: Messi and Ronaldo

Both Messi and Ronaldo have also been honoured with LEGO Editions Soccer Legends sets. These are bigger - closer to 1,000 pieces each - with a higher price tag to match.

Again, the name of these sets varies slightly for the UK market. Internationally, you'll see them listed as:

Regardless of who's the better player, Messi or Ronaldo, this is probably the best set in the entire LEGO Editions World Cup 2026 theme. It's a 2-in-1 build and comes with a brick separator tool, allowing you to disassemble the pieces and start all over again.

Both builds are iconic, featuring Messi in a celebratory stance with his fingers pointed to the sky, or a dynamic side view as he charges forward with the ball at his feet. The backdrop, a large number 10 with a smaller brick-built 'Messi' name plaque, has a slightly different config for each build, adding to the variety.

The brick-built Messi LEGO figure is 27cm high from feet to fingertips (including the base) and does an incredible job of capturing the legendary player's appearance - even down to his sleeve tattoo on his right arm.

If we had to pick one set from the LEGO World Cup 2026 line-up, LEGO Editions Lionel Messi - Soccer Legend (43015) would be it, as it absolutely nails its assignment.

LEGO Editions Cristiano Ronaldo - Soccer Legend (43016)

LEGO Editions Cristiano Ronaldo - Soccer Legend (43016) also does a great job of capturing the likeness of the legend, with a choice of "Siuuu!" celebration pose or dynamic overhead bicycle kick.

Maybe it's the pose, or the six-pack, or the bright red jersey, but the finished 'Siuuu' build has us thinking of Iron Man. The 'CR7' backdrop also hardly changes between the two assembly options.

That being said - the bicycle kick version of this build is excellent. The proportions of Ronaldo's arms and legs seem to work better from the side view, and we love how the football seems to float in mid-air without any direct connection to his foot.

It's a 5-star rated build with customers praising the choice of poses and the overall build process, and that 12+ age rating makes both LEGO Editions Soccer Legend sets ideal for younger builders working up to their first 1,000-piece challenge.

LEGO Editions Lionel Messi - Celebration

If you REALLY want a four-figure challenge, go for LEGO Editions Lionel Messi - Celebration (43018) with nearly 1,500 pieces for just over £150.

The scale of this set doesn't really come across in the official photos on the LEGO website. It measures in at 38 x 47cm with a flag-like horizontal shape. In old money, that's 15 inches high by 18.5 inches wide, about the size of a large framed photographic print.

Instead of a flat paper print, LEGO Editions Lionel Messi - Celebration (43018) gives you a stunning blue and green backdrop that represents the sky and the football pitch. Messi is shown from behind in that same iconic celebration pose, pointing with both hands to the sky.

Depth plays a huge part in this build - despite being just 5cm thick, and ideal as a LEGO wall hanging display, you really get a sense of Messi's back and arm muscles, the shape of his hair, and a brilliantly brick-built version of his arm tattoo.

It's a shining example of how a higher piece count can add detail to a set, even when the finished vignette is quite simple: a rear view of a legend pointing to the sky.

Did You Know? The 'progress bars' at the bottom of the Building Instructions for LEGO Editions World Cup 2026 sets are football-themed, featuring a Minifigure footballer or a soccer ball. Except for LEGO Lionel Messi 43018, which instead features a goat!

Final Thoughts

We're honestly blown away by the LEGO Editions FIFA World Cup 2026 theme. The replica World Cup Trophy and Soccer Ball were already good. Now with the addition of the tournament emblem, the LEGO Team USA jersey and the Soccer Legends line-up, we're spoilt for choice!

Even better, with SIX of the nine new LEGO World Cup sets priced at less than £25, there's plenty of potential to pick up multiple sets this summer and create a truly memorable World Cup 2026 LEGO display.

And if you can, definitely try to get your hands on the two Lionel Messi celebration sets, LEGO Editions 43015 and LEGO Editions 43018. The epic 18-inch back-of-shirt wall display combined with the front-view Football Legend set on a shelf or mantelpiece below it would make a striking combination - no pun intended!
