BUDDIES WITH BANDAI

Bandai Collector Toys

Greetings fellow collectors! We would like to inform you that we are now an affiliate of Bandai. As some of you may be aware, Bandai merged with Namco in May 2005 and then created Namco Bandai Studios in 2006. This has since been renamed several times and in 2015 was named Bandai Namco Entertainment. They own several video game franchises including Tekken, Dark Souls and Pac-Man (who is the official mascot for the company). Aside from this, Bandai is the world’s third-largest producer of toys. Founded in July 1950 by Naoharu Yamashina, they began distributing metallic toys and rubber swimming rings. In 1961 the company was renamed Bandai.Co.,Ltd and only became hugely successful in 1963 due to the production of Astro Boy figures based on the Anime. As the years have gone on, the company has continued to grow and grow and so we are absolutely elated that we are now affiliated with them.

Bandai Collector Figures

SHOW AND TELL

What can Bandai do for you? Well if you are a fan of Anime, video game characters or even Star Wars then best believe they have got you covered. Bandai produce figures for Anime Heroes (Naruto, One Piece), Studio Ghibli, Gundam, Star Wars Visions and Tekken to select a handful. Whilst many figures are articulated, Banpresto creates some of the most amazing statues to behold.

BANPRESTO Bandai Collectable Anime Figures

The articulated figures are supplied with a myriad of accessories, swappable hands, weapons, heads, weapon effects and the list can go on. If you are into toy photography or just putting your figures in gnarly poses while on display, then these are the figures for you. Whilst some figures are widely available in stores others must be pre-ordered from the Bandai website. The website gives all the relevant information about the dimensions of the characters themselves as well as when the shipping dates are expected to be.

As well as the production of statues and articulated figures, Bandai also offer a wide selection of model kits for various franchises, probably the most well-known are the Gundam model kits. These are available in a variety of sizes, so are suitable for a range of ages/abilities. The joy with these kits is that there is no glue involved, which if anyone has built an Airfix kit will know is a result!

Bandai products suit a diverse range of wallets. The Anime Heroes can be purchased for as little as $27, some of the Gundam model kits can be bought for around $40 and then the Bandai SH Figuarts on average start around $60-$90. Another alternative to get your Bandai figures is from BigBadToyStore who have extremely reasonable pricing, plus they have the "pile of loot" option which enables you to hold and combine orders thus saving on shipping, genius.
